There is a new flag flying outside the Bolduc House—it’s the Bolduc family coat of arms. It flies next to the Bourbon flag with three fleur de lis to represent the French royal family that included Louis XIV. When you visit us in Ste. Genevieve you get to touch and experience an entirely different culture—18th century French colonial culture. Even though the Spaniards governed the area much of the time, the people were French loyal to the king and faithful Catholics.
